WHAT IS A TRIGGER POINT?
A trigger point is an irritable and/or tender area localised to the surrounding muscle, also commonly referred to as a knot. The aim is to release this knot which effective with pain relief.

Dry needling is the westernized version of acupuncture and is a highly researched, evidence based treatment technique that aims to reduce muscle tension and improve blood flow. The main difference is dry needling relies on finding the trigger points in the muscle and releasing it, whereas acupuncture is more to restore the energy meridian flows in the body.
